Hi, I’m Erin.
Before I founded Capstone Communications, I worked in higher ed publications offices for three colleges. As a freelancer, I took on web, print, and social media projects for dozens of university and college clients.
Every project I did was distinct, but themes emerged. If you’re in higher ed communications, you might struggle with the same challenges that many of my clients did:
After working with dozens and dozens of clients — and seeing how the very best did their work differently from others — I began to understand how to solve these problems.
In 2014, I began sending out email newsletters to a few dozen clients. I shared some of the best lessons and ideas from more than a decade of work in the field.
That’s when Capstone Communications was born.
Today, that tiny newsletter has grown to more than 700 higher ed communications VPs, directors, and editors across the country.
Our team has grown, too.
We work with incredible and experienced writers, illustrators, editors, and researchers. We’re devoted to tackling the specific challenges of higher ed communications.
We tell stories that delight and surprise your readers. They are designed from the ground up to make a real impact. That’s true whether you measure that impact in likes and shares, letters to the editor, or dollars and cents.
In other words: we tell stories that matter to both your readers and your institution.
Capstone only works with higher ed and independent school clients. We’re laser-focused on delivering the best possible content for your magazine and web stories, social posts, and print projects.
